The Opportunity

The Human Resources Analyst II is responsible for the administration of the Corporation’s compensation and benefits plans.

The role reports to the Supervisor – Payroll, Pension & Benefits and has the following accountabilities:

  • Processes Corporate payroll and personnel changes such as increments, reclassifications, terminations, promotions, maternity, and parental leaves.
  • Processes the Corporate pension plan, including enrolments, waivers, terminations, deaths, and service.
  • Processes the Corporation’s benefit plans in compliance with the collective agreements and by-laws.
  • Maintains a thorough awareness of current employment, labour and human rights legislation as well as existing collective agreement matters affecting the Corporation's compensation programs.
  • Assists, as assigned, in aspects of labour relations research including collective agreement costing, severance pay calculations etc.

Ideal Candidate

  • Diploma in business administration, majoring in accounting or another related discipline.
  • Minimum three years’ experience in payroll, payroll accounting, or other related field.
  • Knowledge of payroll and benefit processes, procedures, and applicable legislation.
