Region of Peel’s Human Resources division is seeking an Advisor, Organizational Development and Learning who shares our passion for supporting an engaged, resilient and skilled workforce.
With a collaborative and strategic approach, the Advisor will lead corporate-wide initiatives in the areas of diversity and inclusion training, team effectiveness as well as social, virtual and e-learning.
The Role:
Reporting to the Manager, Organizational Development & Learning, you will work at the strategic level across the organization, and will be responsible for the overall integration, delivery and monitoring of organizational development programs and services.
Your Responsibilities:
- Lead the implementation of programs in support of the Region of Peel's inclusive organizational development framework and organizational values
- In partnership with leadership teams and Human Resources colleagues, analyze and develop OD solutions to address team effectiveness needs
- Assess root cause of team challenges and performance gaps, and advise people leaders and OD team members on appropriate interventions, including team-building, skill-building activities, facilitation design, performance improvement, curriculum design and development, vendor referral, and learning material design
- In collaboration with the Organizational Development and Learning team members, advise on corporate organizational development strategy and programming, based on analysis of the Region’s culture strategy, strategic plan, technology, and modern OD practices
- Design and facilitate organizational development programs as required to support corporate change initiatives, including digital literacy enhancement and core competency development
- Oversee vendor procurement and management for the delivery of instructor-led training, virtual and e-learning
Qualifications:
- A university degree in Human Resources Management, Business, Adult Education, Organizational Development, or related field
- Experience in corporate-wide strategy and program development in the areas of inclusion and diversity
- A minimum of five years’ progressive professional experience in a large public sector environment in the design, development and implementation of organization-wide OD programs
- Exceptional project management skills
- Excellent partnership and relationship-building skills
- Change management certification and experience
- Leadership coaching certification is an asset
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite with an ability to learn new technology quickly

Location: Due to Covid-19, some of our offices are working at limited capacity to protect the health and safety of our employees, clients and community.
